5 Ways To Find A Great Realtor
1. Be Clear About What YOU Want
The first thing you should do BEFORE you contact a Realtor is to get clear about exactly what you want when it comes to selling your home. I know you’re thinking, "Okay Jacci, Isn't it obvious that I want to sell my house as quickly as possible for the highest possible asking price"? Right, I get that! But the reality of the market may create different factors that could cause your dream sale to become your nightmare sale if you stick to a price that is just too high for the market. You might also sell yourself short in a hot market by pricing too low! That’s what a qualified expert is for…your Realtor. So make a note with answers to the following:
What repairs or renovations are you up for doing?
What is your financial situation?
Do you want to sell with a Realtor or FSBO?
2. Get References for Realtors
Asking around for references can be the best way to find a great agent. Surely many people you know have bought or sold property recently, and they often have worked with at least one (sometimes more) Realtor, and can give you insight into their experiences.
